Chhattisgarh The main Minister Vishnu deo Sai granted the principle of approval to award the TELANGANA Certificate (Night) for the Sammakka Sagar project on the Godavari River.
The decision came after Monday in Raipur in Raipuro by Minister for irrigation and Civil Delivery.
In an interview with the media, Mr. Uttam Kumar Reddy said he had submitted a memorandum that indicates the telangany commitment to take full responsibility for the land acquisition, compensation and rehabilitation in Chhattisgarh.
He also stressed that the night was the final interstate requirement before the Middle Water Commission could approve. In his presentation PowerPoint before Chhattisgarh cm, the Minister informed that Sammakka Sagar Barrage was built in a tupaculagud in the Mulug district. Designed with a storage capacity of 6.7 TMC at full level of the tank 83 meters, it is located on Godavari downstream from the confluence with Indravathi.
According to the project plans, the Sammakka Sagar project will stabilize Ayacut 1,78 Lakh hectares under the Sriramsagar Project Stage-II and creates a new Ayacut of 12,146 hectares under Ramapp-Pakhal Link Canal. This additional irrigation potential will be beneficial for Warangal, Suryapet, Mahabubabad, Yangaon and Khammam, along with the nalgond.
Along with fire, the project is assumed that they approach the channels and gravitational channels to transfer water to command areas. It includes three pump houses and delivery tanks designed to master large volumes of discharge.
The Minister acknowledged that the standing waters of the project would spread to Bhoopalpatnam Tahsil in Bijapur District in Chhattisgarh, which would result in immersion. He explained that about 13.06 hectares of land, 54.03 hectares of the river area and 6.35 hectares of NALA land would be influenced.
He said Telangana had already offered to meet all the costs associated with immersion, including land acquisition and rehabilitation in the CHHhattisgarh.
