Minister for Excise, Mines and Geology Kollu Ravindra urged the leaders of TDP, JSP and BJP to prepare for the upcoming local body elections in the same spirit with which they won 16 assembly seats in the combined Krishna district. He urged the leaders to highlight the government’s achievements in the last year and a half.
Addressing a meeting of leaders from Krishna combined constituency at R&B Guest House here on Saturday, Mr. Ravindra said the ruling party leaders should thwart the disinformation campaign launched by YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leaders Perni Venkataramaiah and Jogi Ramesh.
Referring to the dispute between Vijayawada MP Kesineni Sivanath and Tiruvuru MLA K. Srinivasa Rao, the Minister said that the Chief Minister would take up the matter and noted that differences of opinion were quite common in political parties as in families.
Meanwhile, Mr. Sivanath said that TDP, JSP and BJP are making joint efforts to develop Krishna combined district on all fronts and the results are already visible. Due priority was given to social welfare, he said, stressing the need for the three parties to meet once a month to review the status of development work and implementation of social welfare programmes.
