Minister of roads, buildings, infrastructure and investment BC Janardhan Reddy on Wednesday recommended an action against officials of the National Motorway Office of India (Nhai) for not following the quality of materials and construction work on the national highway Annavaram-Diwanchervu (NH-16).
Mr. Janardhan Reddy carried out a surprising inspection of ongoing works 70 kilometers long NH-16 and found that poor material was used in the process of turning the road.
The project is carried out by Safeway Projects based in Mumbai Private Limited under toll, operation and tax regime (TOT).
In an official statement, Mr. Janardhan said that Nhai officials could not follow the quality of the material and work on the NH-16 between Annavaram and Rajahendramat.
