New Delhi: Indian oil and natural gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri on Monday called for deeper cooperation with Canada to dismantle terrorism and alleviate the risks of radicalization and talk about the bombing of the 40th anniversary of Air India 182 (Kanishka) in Ahakista, Cork in Ireland.
Air India 182 was destroyed in the air by a bomb planted by a terrorist based in Canada, which killed all 329 on board 23 June 1985, of which more than 80 children were killed.
Puri described the tragedy as an accident, but “a deliberate, abominable act performed by marginal elements trying to divide India”.

Terrorism and extremism are modern threats, said Puri, which urged India and Canada to work in tandem through intelligence sharing, efforts to anti -radicalization and disruption of terror funding, the Ministry of Oil and Natural Gas (Mopng) said.
“India has suffered a whisk of terrorism for decades – from Jamm and Kashmir to Pandjab to Mumbai. Our and our people have tolerated bomb attacks, assassinations and atrocities again,” he said. “Let today’s memory be a unified message – those who spread hatred and terror never take over humanity, democracy and friendship.”
Puri also remarked that India and Ireland have evolved strong bilateral ties as a result of the tragedy, with a trade in 2023 reaching nearly $ 16 billion.
He said that Indian agencies work continuously to dismantle terrorist fronts with the help of global partners. “India is ready to do more. Our security agencies, intelligence apparatuses and diplomatic channels are fully determined by the world partnership to ensure that such tragedies never repeat,” he said.
Irish Prime Minister Micheál Martin, Canadian Minister of Public Security Gary Anandasangaree, local Irish officials, the first respondents and families of the victims were present at the memorial, Mopng said.
The statement comes after the notes of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the G7 summit in Canada at the beginning of this month and calls on all countries to unite against terrorism. Modi said last week that the terrorist attack of Pahalgam in April was not only an attack on India, but on all humanity.
At his address on June 17, he also called for a strict action against those nations that support terrorist clothing.
The terrorist attack of Pahalgamu 22. April declared the lives of 26 tourists in Jammu and Kashmir.
India, the “Sindoor Operation”, an anti -terrorist operation focused on the terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan Kashmir occupied in the first hours of May 7, initiated India in retaliation. The Pakistani army responded by focusing on civil and military infrastructure in India, and according to multiple briefing of military and external officials, the Ministry of External Affairs escalated the conflict.

The fighting between India and Pakistan lasted four days, until May 10, when military officials from both sides negotiated a ceasefire.
According to PM Modi, who announced a new doctrine of anti -terrorism for India, Sindoor operations are still ongoing. In his 12 May, he deals with the nation, Modi said that India would retaliate against terrorist attacks according to his own conditions, to tolerate nuclear blackmail and would not distinguish between terrorists and governments that hide them.
