Minister PC Vishnunadh promises to address the architectural community’s concerns

The state government will address the concerns raised by the architectural community in Kerala, including the demand to fix a minimum fee for projects, Tourism and Culture Minister PC Vishnunadh said.

The minister was speaking at the installation ceremony of the office bearers of the Indian Institute of Architects (IIA), Kerala Chapter 2026-28 here on Sunday (September 20, 2026).

Mr. Vishnunadh said that construction activities in the tourism sector should reflect the culture, history and lifestyle of the respective regions. He added that such projects should be implemented through collective discussions.

Incoming Chairperson of IIA Kerala Chapter Monolita Chatterjee urged the minister to harness the potential of the architectural community for the benefit of the state.

Outgoing Chairman Vinod Cyriac presided over the meeting. Former MLA and IIA Honorary Member A. Pradeep Kumar and IIA National Treasurer B. Sudheer spoke.
