Minister of Transport and Muzrai Ramaling Reddy said on Saturday that the state government favored the occupation of unoccupied functions in four traffic corporations and submitted a proposal to the financial department, which sought to approval for recruitment of 2,736 officers and employees.
He spoke in public post in Aland after laid the cornerstone for the new Crore 5 bus booth, built by Kalyana Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (KRTC).
Mr. Reddy said that drivers and conductors were the backbone of the transport system and the inability to recruit employees between 2016 and 2023 created a crisis of human resources.
“Since our government took over the office, we have hired about 10,000 employees, of which 1,000 for compassionate reasons,” he said.
Bus fleet and infrastructure
Mr. Reddy pointed out that KKRTC was in relatively better financial health than the other three corporations.
“Five Crore is not enough for the Aland bus stand. Once the work will start, more funds will be published. Over the past two years, we have given 1,031 KKRTC buses.
He also provided employees’ social care, emphasized the 1.5 Crore insurance coverage for KSRTC and CRS 1 GBP employees for other corporations, increased reward for £ 10 lakh and 10 lakh accident insurance for passengers.
On the scheme of Shakti
The Minister said that women have used more than 517 crore free routes worth 13,000 crore within the Shakti scheme. In response to MLA BR Patil’s, demand, he said that the possibility of expanding the system to AC and interstate buses will be located in front of the main minister.
The Minister handed over orders to the appointment of 36 dependent persons to the deceased employees for compassionate reasons and distributed the checks of chance 10 lakhs to the families of two passengers who died in accidents.
Local requirements
Mr. Patil, who chaired, was looking for 20 other buses for Aland Depot and urged the benefits of the Shakti scheme to reach the border of Maharashtra, due to the high international personal traffic. He also called for a new bus position in Mahdan Hipperga, Nimbal, Hirolli, Khajuri and Kadaganchi.
Tippannappa Kamakanur, MLC, helps that the new bus stand should be well equipped and assured that if necessary, more resources can be found from KKRDB.
Project details
The old forty -year stand Aland bus, located in a low -laid area, often waterlogged. The new equipment coming to 1 ACR 22 Guntas (out of 20 guntas obtained from APMC Land) will hold 12 buses and will include passengers, lighting, waiting halls, toilets, food court, unit for women’s meal, children’s care room and commercial sales.
