
Minister of Health Dinesh Gunda Rao emphasized on Friday a critical need for renewed focus on public health and the development of strong public health management.
After the start of TT Narasimhan School of Advanced Studies at the Public Health Institute (IPH) Bengaluru during the celebrations of the 20th anniversary of the Institute that the government was opened partnership with organizations such as IPH to strengthen public health and government health services.
The Minister praised the Institute’s research activities and said: “IPH participated in researching important areas in public health and contributed extremely to various areas of public health, including health policy, health systems and tribal health.
TT Jagannathan, representing the TT Narasimhan family, expressed the pride of his family to support the initiative. “Our family, which is leading through the values of TT Narsimhan about compassion and innovation, is proud to support TT Narasimhan School of Advanced Studies at the Institute of Public Health.
Prashanth NS, director of IPH Bengaluru, emphasized the way of the Institute in two decades as a testimony to the initiation of public health experts and their unwavering passion. He emphasized the key role of civil society organizations in cooperation with the government to improve access to health care and strengthen health systems.
The all -day event, which took place on the IISC area, combined leading experts in the field of public health, dignitaries and partners. The program also presented the main interviews of prominent leaders of global health, including K. Srinath Reddy, founder of the Indian Public Health Foundation Foundation. LATHA Jagannathan of TTK-Rotary Medical Services Trust, Vikram patel, founder Sanchath and professor at the Harvard Medical Faculty (USA); Nirmala Nair, co -founder Ekjut, Jharkhand, who is well known for participating work with adivasi communities in Jharkhand and other states in India and Dr. H Sudarshan, Padmashree Awarde and widely recognized for their work with Adivasi Communities in Karnataka.
Uma Mahadevan, another chief secretary and commissioner for the development of Karnataka, added the annual oration of her reflection as a civil servant on decentralization, administration and health.
