Minister of Agriculture Andhra Pradesh K. Atchannaid assured farmers that the government would ensure continuous supply of fertilizers during the kharif season.
Atchannaidu dealt with teleconference with district collectors and agriculture officials and ordered officials to monitor the offer and prevent lack, especially in cooperative companies and significant compositions.
“No farmer should face the inconvenience of accessing fertilizers and officials should watch every cooperative company and ensure that supplies are fairly distributed,” he said.
If we take on reports on media reports of urea deficiency in some areas and are looking for a detailed report, he said that the government secured a higher amount of fertilizers through proactive coordination with the Ministry of Agriculture.
Sellers warned
Atchannaid, who rejected the shortage reports as a false YSRCP propaganda, said 15.94 LMT fertilizers – 8.91 LMT sold and 7.03 LMT were already available. “Every seller who creates an artificial deficiency or selling over MRP will face strict negotiations,” warned the minister.
“The government also introduces nano urea and Nano DAP, which can meet 25% of nutrient requirements,” Atchannaida said. Referring to the efforts of the government spent to accelerate allocations from the center that the new offer of 4.58 LMT for August was approved.
