The Minister of the Municipal Administration and Development of the towns of Pongura Narayan and his wife, P. Rama Devi, prayed on Talpagiri Ranganatha Swamy in Nellore on Sunday. The couples were welcomed to the temple officials with a traditional welcome and the priests received them with “Poornakumbham”.
After a prayer in the temple, the Minister remembered the requests of the locals during his work from 2014 to 2019 to develop Penna Ghat near the temple so that the devotees could immerse themselves before visiting the Church.
“We discussed with officials to improve GHAT. Our government has committed to developing facilities in temples. The previous government has dropped several projects under the reverse of the bid procedure, but we raise the thread and continue to develop this ghat,” he said.
