Minister lauds eye care services of Sankar Foundation

Industry, Commerce and Food Minister TG Bharath, during his maiden visit to the foundation on Tuesday, appreciated the Sankar Foundation Eye Hospital for its contribution in providing quality eye care, especially to the poor and underprivileged groups.

Mr. Bharath appreciated the foundation’s efforts to reduce preventable blindness and encouraged it to set up more centers in Andhra Pradesh. He also called for a greater focus on research and development using new technologies and innovations in ophthalmology to improve patient care and outcomes.

Earlier, Mr. Bharath decorated the statue of late Dr. A. Sankar Rao and paid tribute to the founder. He also inaugurated the Yeshoda Vision Knowledge Center.

Manager and CEO A. Krishna Kumar and senior officials accompanied the Minister during his visit.
