Minister of School Education Madhu Bangarappa felicitated 25 teachers on Friday, who completed the list of families that were assigned to them in a social and educational survey, before the deadline.
On this occasion, the Minister appreciated the work that teachers perform as part of the survey. “Social and educational survey conducted by the State Commission of Karnataka for back -class is an important survey. Teachers play a major role in exercise,” he said.
So far, Mr. Bangarappa said that they had covered 63.46% of the total families in Shivamogg. Coverage in Sorab and Shikaripur Taluks exceeded 60%, he added. The Minister hoped to reach 100% in time.
Bangarappa responded to the comments of the BJP leaders who opposed the survey and said that the survey was underway according to the Constitution. The courts also stated that the survey has been held every 10 years; Only those who did not understand the importance of the survey commented against it, he added.
“The state government follows the basic principles of the Constitution. The survey is an exercise to ensure equality,” he said.
