BC Roads and Buildings Minister Janardhan Reddy inaugurated the ‘PM Surya Ghar Utsav’ at Panchamapeta in Banaganapalle town on Sunday (April 19). The minister officially launched the solar power scheme designed to provide free, subsidized solar electricity to SC and ST families at the flick of a switch.
After unveiling the plaque marking the launch of Prime Minister’s Surya Ghar Utsav, Mr. Janardhan Reddy interacted with the beneficiaries of the programme. Speaking on the occasion, he said that this system is capable of bringing transformation in people’s lives. “This scheme is being introduced with the noble objective of providing free electricity to one million households across the country,” the minister said.
