Minister inspects Bheemunipatnam-Narsipatnam road widening work

BC Roads and Buildings Minister Janardhan Reddy on Tuesday inspected the ongoing widening of the Bheemunipatnam-Narsipatnam road near Dorathota in Bheemili mandal and directed officials to speed up work on the key road connecting the region to the upcoming Bhogapuram International Airport.

Mr. Janardhan said the coalition government prioritized road development in the state and aimed to provide safer and better transport facilities to the public.

The existing two-lane Bheemunipatnam-Narsipatnam road is being widened into a four-lane road at a cost of ₹34 crore, he said. Officials informed the minister that 7.34% of the project has been completed with ₹1.66 crore spent so far.

Mr. Janardhan directed the officials and contractors to maintain the quality standards and complete the remaining works within the stipulated time. He also directed them to speed up the work and ensure timely completion.

During the inspection, the minister reviewed the progress of the road widening work and sought details from the officials about the work completed so far. The inspection was attended by senior officials of the Roads and Buildings Department and technicians.
