Minister inaugurates Ayush facility at PHC in Cuddalore district

Housing and Urban Development Minister B. Rajkumar inaugurated Ayush facilities at primary health centers in Cuddalore district on Saturday.
The facilities include an Ayurvedic building at Thiruvanthipuram PHC, a Yoga and Natural Medicine building at Vadalur PHC and a Homeopathy building at Karaikadu PHC.
Each of the three buildings with a total area of 45.43 square meters was constructed at an estimated cost of ₹ 15 lakh each under the National Ayush Mission. The buildings are equipped with the necessary facilities, such as consultation rooms, a pharmacy, waiting rooms and toilets.
Inaugurating the buildings, Mr. Rajkumar said that the state government has taken steps to upgrade infrastructure in government hospitals and primary health centers to ensure accessible and high quality medical services to the public. He said services in government hospitals must be monitored to ensure that treatment is provided without any hindrance.
He said that through Ayush, special camps were conducted in government schools to treat students for anemia, low immunity and learning disabilities. On an average, more than 100 persons are treated in Ayush facilities in primary health care, he added.
