The mere celebration of Hampi Utsav is not enough, we must appreciate and preserve our historical and archaeological heritage, according to the Minister of Law, Justice, Human Rights, Parliamentary Affairs, Legislation and Tourism
The address of the media persons after a visit to the tomb of the Great Vijayanagar Emperor Sri Krishhnadevaraya in Anegundi near the World Hampi Hamm on Tuesday Mr. Patil, who is also in charge of Gadag, expressed deep concern over recent news near heritage.
“The tomb of Sri Krishhnadvaraya, supported by 64 pillars, is a monument of immense historical and cultural value. The reported meat incident that is cut and sold to such a sacred position is deeply desperate.

President Anegundi Gram Panchayat Huligemma repeated the sentiments of the Minister and described the incident as random and ensured that strict measures were initiated to prevent repetition. She added that Sri Krishhnadvaraya was a character of pride for this region.
