Minister Bindu Krishna pledges full support to survivor of alleged gang-rape in Kochi

Bindu Krishna, minister for women and child development, has promised all possible help and care to the survivors of the alleged rape case in Kochi.
She also assured that the accused will be brought to justice. She was speaking to the media after visiting survivors at the Government Medical College Kalamassery on Saturday (October 10, 2026).
“Ensuring the safety of women is a key priority of the government. There will be no lapses in solving the case,” Ms. Krishna said. She added that the survivor was provided with counseling sessions to help her cope with the psychological trauma.
The alleged gang-rape took place on October 2, 2026, in a cottage in the city. The woman was reportedly invited to the lodge after being informed that she had been selected for the position of manager. She was then allegedly drugged and gang-raped.
