New Zealand’s Mike Hesson was named on Tuesday as the new head coach of Bílá Balls.
The Pakistanian cricket council (PCB) announced that Hesson would join the side of May 26, the day after the closure of the Pakistani Super League (PSL).
Hesson, who was named as the head coach in New Zealand, was tilted as a new coach after the PCB advertised a post after a disastrous tour to New Zealand after the unsatisfactory trophy of champions at the beginning of this year.
It seems that a total of seven candidates submitted a position for a position, including four foreigners.
Hesson currently works as the head coach of Islamabad United, advocate of the Pakistani Super League (PAL) masters, and also has experience in coaching in the Premier League Indian.
PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi said that Hesson brings a lot of international experience and proven results of the development of competing parties.
“We are looking forward to his expertise and leadership in shaping the future of the cricket of Pakistani white ball,” said Naqvi.
Hesson has been the fifth foreign coach appointed with the Pakistani team since 2023, followed by Grant Bradburn, Mickey Arthur, Simon Helmet, Gary Kirsten and Gillespie.
Bradburn, Arthur, Kirsten and Gillespie all resigned without completing the contracts, while the helmet was named by a high -performance coach for only one tour to Australia at the beginning of 2023.
Others resigned with the indications that they were dissatisfied with the fact that they were working with them and the PCB relationship.
PCB has often changed its team of support with men’s outfit, including the key coach.
Saqlain Mushtaq, Muhammad Hafeez and AAQIB, also worked as a team director or head coaches with a national party without much success.
The PCB also named AAQIB Javed, who was appointed temporary coach, as the new director of the National Criket Academy.
