Microsoft introduced unlimited use on Tuesday to two new sub-brand features on the free tier. These two features have been released recently to all Copilot users – known as Voice and Think more deeply ideas. However, people on the free layer can access them at a rate limit. Now, the Redmond-based tech giant is removing the rate limit and offering unlimited use of two tools to all users. It is worth noting that the deeper-thinking capabilities of artificial intelligence (AI) chatbots are powered by OpenAI’s reasoning-centered O1 model.
Copilot’s voice, using unlimited usage to free users think more deeply
In a blog post, the tech giant announced the removal of usage restrictions. Microsoft first introduced Copilot two years ago and has been improving AI-powered chatbots with more features. The company also integrates it into Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365 applications. It has also been added to github.
So far, only Copilot Pro users have unlimited access to sound and think about deeper features. With new moves, all users can now use these tools without worrying about any rate limits. It is worth noting that Voice Mode is currently only available in the Copilot mobile app. It is believed that the web client can also access deeper levels.
Copilot voice mode is similar to the advanced voice mode provided by OpenAI. However, the latter continues to impose interest rate restrictions on the free layer, about a few minutes per month. On Wednesday, Openai announced in an article on X (formerly known as Twitter) that the advanced voice mode of Free Tier will now be powered by the GPT-4O MINI instead of the GPT-4O. The company said it will give “free users the opportunity to preview it on the platform every day.” But while Openai doesn’t mention the new rate limit, it can’t be unlimited.
Copilot’s voice mode can interact with users in conversation, and its voice contains human-like behavior. It can also change the tone, sing, and can change the tone, tone and bend. The company said it could be used to practice a new language, conduct mock interviews or get hands-free cooking advice.
Think Think’s deeper pattern essentially uses test time calculation methods and inference models and spends more time questioning responses, finding alternative solutions and validating outputs. Microsoft says this feature uses OpenAI’s O1 inference model. This is useful when users want to understand a complex topic or want to conduct a more in-depth analysis of technical reports.
