At least one person was killed and another injured after a shooting at the MGM National Harbor Hotel & Casino Wednesday afternoon in Oxon Hill, Maryland.
According to local media reports, which cited Prince George’s County police, officers responded to the shooting outside the food court just before noon.
One man died on the spot while another man was reportedly hit by a bullet.
The deceased victim was said to be in his 20s, local media reported. The police also said at the press conference that no one was injured except for the man who was grazed.
The shooter has since fled the scene and is at large as police work to identify the suspect.
Random shooting or targeted attack?
Authorities do not believe the shooting was random.
According to WUSA9, which cited Police Chief George Nader, security footage indicated the suspect was actively looking for the victim.
Police also said they believe the victim fled in a car, further investigation is ongoing.
