Giant Meta Social Meta, who operates Mark Zuckerberg, apologized for inaccurately translating Cannada and claimed to have solved this problem. Meta’s apology comes after the Chief Minister of Karnataka Siddaramaiaha raised concerns about the wrong automatic translation of Kannada texts on his platforms, including Facebook and Instagram.
Siddaramaiaiah had previously raised serious concerns that Kannada’s content was incorrectly translated on metach -handles such as Facebook and Instagram, and said it has led to distortion of the facts misleading.
“We fixed the problem that briefly caused this inaccurate translation of Kannada. We apologize for it,” said Meta spokesman.
Meta’s apology came after the Chief Minister’s Office published in Cannado about Siddaramaiah, which paid respect B Saroja Devi. Meta translated it as: “Main Minister Siddaramaiaha, a multilingual star died yesterday, higher actress B took Darshan of Sarojadevi’s earthly body and gave up his last respect.”

Siddarahaiaha killed a meta, noted that social media platforms should act responsibly, especially if it deals with official communication. He also warned citizens to be aware that translations on Fecebook and Intagram could be inaccurate.
“Faulty automatic translation of Kannada content on metach -handles disrupts the facts and misleading users. This is particularly dangerous in terms of official communication. My media advisor formally wrote a meta and urged immediate repair,” Siddaramaiaah said on “X”.
“Social media platforms must act responsibly. I warn citizens to be aware that the translations displayed are often inaccurate. Such negligence by technical giants can damage the understanding and public confidence,” he added.
In the e -mail sent by Meta on July 16, the Media Advisor of the Chief Minister KV Prabhakar called CM serious concern about the automatic translation of Kannada on Facebook and Instagram.
The Government of Karnataka asked Meta to temporarily suspend the automatic translation function for Kannada until the accuracy of the translation reliably improves.
Machine translations are displayed to users in various cases on Facebook and Instagram, including public biographical information and specific content.
In the case of automatic translation, Kannada provided a META AI machine translation of a machine translation error that caused the inaccurate translations of Kannada to Facebook-o, which the company claims to have now been repaired.
