What did the preliminary investigation reveal?
Delhi Police has identified the accused driver as Shivam, a resident of Karol Bagh, New Delhi.
At the time of the incident, Delhi Police said Shivam was driving the vehicle with his wife and elder brother at the time of the accident. They were reportedly returning home after the wedding.
According to the preliminary investigation, the vehicle lost its balance due to a swerve, which led to the car crashing into a pole where the three victims were standing by the stand.
The offending car belongs to Shivam’s friend Abhishek. “Necessary legal action is being taken as per law,” Delhi Police said.
