Nandyal MP Byreddy Shabari on Tuesday (October 14, 2025) strongly protested against removing the shelters of some temples near the Nandyal railway station by the railway police late on Monday evening (October 13). She ordered officials to restore shelters and take the exception of the event at a time when Prime Minister Narendra Modi is visited by the Nandyal district.
The railway police reportedly removed the shelters of the Temple of Vinayak, Nagulakatta Sri Valli Subramanya Swamy Local of Mulasagarama, Nunepalli, Sai Baba Nagar, Mrs. Nagar and other nearby areas.
Narayana, a government teacher, and her friends celebrated the main festivals in the shed and also organized “Annaprasadam” for passers -by and devoted during festivals. According to the railway police reports, the instructions of the higher official Nanydal Railway Division, removed the shelters late on Monday evening, and when Mr. Narayana tried to intervene, he was taken into custody.
The inhabitants of Mulasagarama, Nunepalli and nearby areas, along with Hindu organizations, gathered in the temple and raised an objection to the removal of shelters claiming that they did not cause any obstacle to the movement of vehicles. Rashtriya Dharm Raksha gave Nandyal District President NP Naveen Goud and another reported Mrs. Shabari, who dealt with a problem with higher railway officials.
