On April 17, NIMHANS will organize a national-level consultative session titled “Digital Technology for Mental Health: Evolving Policy and Regulatory Guidelines for Safe Use”, bringing together leading experts, agencies and officials to discuss the rapidly expanding digital mental health ecosystem in India.
According to the report, the meeting is being convened by the NIMHANS–ICMR Center for Advanced Research (CAR) in collaboration with the Services Unit for Healthy Use of Technology (SHUT) at NIMHANS. “The consultation comes at a critical time as technology-enabled mobile apps and mental health tools proliferate across the country, raising important questions about quality, privacy, security and responsible use,” the report said.
