Members of Praja Arrogya Vedik (Pav) from the NTR district expressed concern about the outbreak of diarrhea in the new Rajarajeswaripette from Vijayawady, where more than 40 people fell ill in the last 48 hours.
In his statement, the Secretary General Pav, the NTR district, G. Vijay Prakash said it was the second time in 16 months when the city showed diarrhea.
The last focus in the city was reported in May last year. Although Vijayawada is the recipient of the Swachh Bharat Awards and part of the capital of the capital, it is sad that the municipal corporation did not provide people with clean drinking water, Vijay Prakash said.
In addition to providing the necessary medical services to all persons hospitalized with signs of diarrhea, strong measures should be taken to prevent the repetition of these outbreaks in the city, Mr. Vijay Prakash said, adding that all obsolete pipes should be replaced by new ones. He demanded the necessary inspections immediately throughout the city.
