It is expected that the construction of the memorial-cum-muzea in memory of the ruler of the former Pudukottai Samasthanam Rajagopal Tondaiman in the district collector’s premises in Pudukottai will be completed at the beginning of next year.
In June 2022, the Chief Minister of MK Stalin announced that in connection with his ceremonial celebrations, a memorial would be built in memory of Raja Rajagopal Tondaiman.
Memorial-Cum-Museum takes place at the price of 3.02 GBP Crore in the southeast corner in the district collector in Pudukottai. The memorial comes to the area measuring 760.50 square meters with work carried out by the department of public work.
Official sources said the memorial will have a meeting room with a 530 seating capacity. The museum would display the items used by Rajagopal Tondaiman. The construction work is expected to be completed at the beginning of next year, the official of the Public Work Department said.
