
A memorandum of understanding (Memorandum of Understanding) was signed between the municipality of Tadipatri and Arjas Steel Private Limited on the use of recycled wastewater from the municipal sewage treatment plant (STP) for industrial purposes.
The bhoomi pooja ceremony marked the launch of a project that reflects a collaborative model between local government and industry for sustainable resource management.
The STP Recycled Wastewater Utilization Project is designed to ensure the scientific treatment and efficient utilization of recycled municipal wastewater, improve sanitation and public health standards, prevent environmental pollution and promote water conservation, promote sustainable urban and industrial development, and strengthen municipal infrastructure and financial sustainability.
Speaking on the occasion, Tadipatri Municipal Chairman JC Prabhakar Reddy described the STP as a dream project for the city and emphasized that it will improve sanitation standards and ensure systematic waste water management across the municipality.
Tadipatri MLA JC Asmit Reddy emphasized the importance of public-private partnership in accelerating civic development and commended Arjas Steel for supporting environmental conservation efforts by using treated wastewater, thereby reducing dependence on fresh water while generating revenue for the municipality.
Jayaprakash Devaraj, Chief Operating Officer, Arjas Steel Private Limited, reaffirmed the company’s commitment to sustainable development and responsible industrial practices. He said the investment reflects the company’s commitment to community well-being and supporting structured infrastructure.
