But the visitors wasted an early review when trying to dismiss Ellyse Perry, who returned to the side after recovering from a quad injury. On the third ball of the fifth, bowler Kranti Goud bowled a full length into the channel that went wide. Perry pushed the ball hesitantly and looked beaten on the outside edge.
The slip cordon looked preoccupied, prompting skipper Harmanpreet Kaur to have a brief chat with her teammates before opting for a check. When the UltraEdge was revealed, it clearly indicated a significant gap between the bat and the ball. The result was a decision on the field and Perry was not out.
Perry was on seven when she got a reprieve as India burnt a valuable review early in the innings. Afterwards, fans trolled them for wasting reviews.
