The forum of members of the Senate associated with UDF at the University of Kannura was written by Chancellors, Governor Rajendr Vishwanath Alelekar, who demanded an immediate withdrawal of the university, on 22 May and called for private registration courses. The forum claimed that this step is violated by the Commission of the Commission for grants for university and state laws on this matter.
In a letter sent on Saturday (May 24) the description of the forum Shino P. Jose described the university offer of private registration courses as a serious crime. He warned that titles issued in this mode are likely to be invalid, which threatens the future of registered students.
According to Mr. Jose, Kannur University had previously interrupted her programs for distance education after the NAAC -ordered UGC class criteria. Despite this, the university has reportedly operated private registration programs over the past five years – the UGC teaching method has not been recognized.
Only three methods
The UGC Act (Open and Distandow Learning and Online Program) from 2020 specifies only three approved course delivery methods: regular, open and distance education and online. “No educational regime that is not under them is recognized,” the forum said, quoting the submission of the UGC by the Kerala High Court that private registration is not an approved method.
