A group of members of the Senate at the University of Calicut claimed the clarity of the recent direction of the Ministry of Higher Education for the selection of smaller (subsidiaries) courses for four -year university programs (FYUGP) at associated universities.
In the letter for Vice -Chairman (VC) P. Ravendran, members of the Senate VM Chacko, P. Sulfi, E. Sreelatha, Manoj Mathews, R. Jayakumar and G. Sunil Kumar, according to Klauzula 7.2.13 Commer, Commer, Commer, Commer, Commer, Commer, Commer, Commer, Commer, Commer, Commer, Commer, Commer, Commer, Commer, Commer, Commer, Commer, Commer, Commer, Commer, Commer, Commer, Commer, Commer, Commer, Commer, Commer, Commer, Commer, Commer, Commer, Commer, Commer Commer, Commer, Commer, Commer, Commer, Commer, Commer, Commer. Biotechnology, hotel management, tourism and Afzal-ulama have previously been able to study small courses in discipline other than their main (main) courses from the same departments. They argued that the University Commission for grants (UGC) did not mark the award of the main and smaller courses in more than one entity from the same department. However, it convinced the controversy called this possibility of the “course of his own smaller” and the university was ordered to change the provisions, the members of the Senate said.
They argued that this problem has not yet been properly discussed in the chosen bodies of the university and even experts have not been consulted. They said that the confusion was made up of different departments with different disciplines, while the only department could include more disciplines. For example, the Ministry of English could include disciplines such as English literature, functional English and cultural studies. Each of the 34 departments above could similarly contain different disciplines. It was at the Academic Forums of the University to define this term for this purpose. The members of the Senate added that the university was not entrusted to take any decisions that would be contrary.
At the University of Mahatma Gandhi, students claimed that students can study small courses in the same department in which they study their main. Professional committees consist of various disciplines that offer main and smaller courses. The members of the Senate urged the VC to allow students to choose smaller courses in accordance with their main subjects. Otherwise, students would be forced to study subjects they were not interested in. They said they were UGC directives and national educational policy. “The problem is likely to start at the Senate meeting scheduled for June 25,” the sources said.
