
Members of NGOs were confused on Thursday (July 24, 2025) by right -wing activists in Madhya Pradesh’s Indore for accusation of religious conversion.
The alleged incident occurred before the Indore press club, where about eight members of the NGO, the Howl Group, organized a press conference.
While the local police hit the attack, Indore another DCP, Zone 3, Ramsanehi Misra, Hindu said that no formal complaint was received at the local police station.
According to the NGO, he works in various sectors such as education and health in the village of Shukrawas in the neighboring District of Dewas.
The Howl Group statement said the “misinformation campaign” was held for several months in Dewas, then the NGO called a press conference to respond to the accusation.
However, local reports from Indore said that a group of right -wing activists attacked the founders of NGOs Sourava Banerjee and other members, including women, and claimed that they were running a “conversion missile” in the village to transfer locals to Christianity.
After the members of non -governmental organizations were prepared at the police station, they were reopen, and right -wing activists also blacken the faces of some members. There was also an alleged video incident on the Internet.
Everything false, says the founder
After the alleged attack, Mr. Banerjee told reporters that the accusation was false.
“We worked in Shukrawas and the suspicion of (religious) conversion is completely unfounded. Let them bring them to the only person that our NGO has transformed,” he said, accusing right -wing members for attacking his team without any evidence.
Dewas another SP (rural) harnaryn Batham said that the parents of some students working with the NGOs claimed that their children were “washed the brain” of the group members.
“The police are investigating this matter. After examining all the facts, we will take the appropriate measures,” he said.
