Member of Rajya Sabha Ajay Maken assured that he would provide funds from his grants for the construction of a sports training hostel in Kodag.
Maken, together with the legal advisor to the main minister and the MLA for Virajpet as Ponnan on Monday, checked the place reserved for sports facilities at a high level in the village of V. Badaga in Virajpet in the district of Kodag.
During the inspection, Mr. Ponnanna explained to Member Rajya Sabha that the residential hostel in Kodag attracted athletes, especially those from Kodag.
During the inspection of 11.2 acres of land reserved for sports facilities, Maken assured that the maximum possible funds from his grants would be assigned a hostel.
Mr. Ponnanna, when he talked to reporters, remembered that he had submitted the request of MEPs before, and he kindly remembered the proud contributions of Kodag to sport and the armed forces, ensuring full support by providing grants with the best of his abilities.
The statement is stated that the preparatory work on the construction of the Sports Training Residential hostel is already underway. The official program in the presence of the main Minister Siddaramahauh, the Minister of Sport and Mr. Maken is likely to take place in November this year and the date for him will be completed later.
