The father of the murder victim of Meghalaya Raja Raghuvanki claimed on Monday that Sonam Raghuvanki, one of the accused in the case of, could be involved in the “tantra mantra” (black magic).
Sonam was the wife of Raja Raghuvansehi. Raja’s father Ashok Raghuvanki said, “On Sonam’s command, Raja hung up on the main door of our house a similar volume.”
Sonam reportedly said Raja that by hanging it, the household would not be influenced by any evil eye.
“After Raja’s murder, I feel that Sonam believes in Tantra mantra and she used it on my son. After the murder, this volume was removed from the house. Those who were to hang for my son killing,” PTI’s father quoted.
Meanwhile, Mother Raja Raghuvanki um said that her son and sonam were “mangles” (associated with Mars in a man’s horoscope) and married a traditional format according to “Muhurat” (favorable time) proposed by the astrologer of the bride’s family.
“Sonam stayed in our house only four days after marriage and went to his mother home according to tradition. Fortunately, we sent her to her mother house. If I ever meet her, the only thing I ask is why she killed my son,” Uma said.
The couple married on May 11th and May 20th went to Meghalaya for honeymoon.
Murder
Raja’s wife Sonam (25), her alleged lover Raj Kushwah (20) and three friends Kushwah were arrested for their alleged involvement in the murder. Raja and Sonam disappeared on May 23 during his honeymoon in Meghalaya.
Raja’s body was found 2 June in a deep gorge near the waterfall in Sohra (also known as Cherrapunji) from the East Khasi Hills district.
A few days later, Sonam was found in Dhaba (Roadside Eatery) in Ghazipur in Uttar Pradesh.
Meghalaya DGP IDASHISHA Nongrang said on Monday that investigators who are exploring the murder of entrepreneur Indore Raja Raghuvanki in Sohra did not treat a love triangle as a single motif and looking for various other angles.
“We are investigating whether there is more in this case. It is unusual that within a few days of the marriage, (Sonam) would develop so much hostility against her husband,” Nongrang PTI said.
