First lady nyc
When Mamdani prepared for history as the first Indo-American in New York, the first Muslim and the first democratic socialist mayor, Duwaji could become a very different kind of first lady-one-anchored in art, activism and cultural identity.
Although she has been deliberately beyond the political center of attention, the talent and story of the Duwaji frames are already resonating with the new generation of New Yorkers – Tichá, but strong against the traditional expectations of political spouses.
