The woman dubbed “looteri dulhan” (Loot bride) was arrested by the police for alleged cheating around 25 groom and fled their jewelry and cash in the value of the Lakhy, NDTV reported.
The accused, identified as 32 -year -old Anuradha Paswan, was arrested in Bhopal.
She would always create a new false identity that would make people into false marriages, play the role of the ideal bride and perfect sister -in -law before she fled from valuables.

Anuradha and her false marital gang cheated a few people from their trust and money.
Gang members would show Anuradh’s photographs and profile to potential groom and build it as an ideal match. The matchmaker, also part of the gang, charged £2 Lakh for marriage arrangement. Once the match was repaired, the parties were signed.
After Anuradha’s wedding, he acted sweetly and naive around the groom and his family to gain confidence. A few days later, the family’s food would be supposed to go to their jewelry, cash and other valuables.
Anuradha Paswan was arrested after Vishnu Sharma, the inhabitants of Sawai Madhopur, filed a complaint that accused her of cheating and theft of jewelry £1,25 lakh, £30,000 in cash and mobile phone worth £30 000.
Vishnu married Anuradha 20 April 2025.
“I run and take a loan. I even borrowed my cell phone – he took it too.
Vishnu remembered the night she left and said he returned from work late and went to bed after dinner. “I don’t usually sleep much, but I slept like a child that night – as if someone gave me a sleeping pill,” he added.
After the complaints of the Sawai Madhopur, she built a trap to catch a woman and her members of the gang. The Police constable represented as a potential groom and the customer of the matchmaker to lure the accused into another false marriage.
“After the investigation, it was found that all documents and marriage agreements were false. From our team we prepared a constable as a groom and measured a woman into marriage,” the police officer said according to the report.
