The Military College of Electronics and Mechanical Engineering (MCEME), Secunderabad, organized a two-day national seminar on “Robotics, Autonomous Drone Systems and Additive Manufacturing for Defense Forces” on February 27-28, which brought together stakeholders from the armed forces, industry, academia and policy-making bodies to address building their own military capabilities for the future.
The seminar focused on fostering collaboration among key stakeholders in addressing emerging operational challenges in an increasingly technology-driven battlespace. The deliberations were structured around four main themes: the role of robotics and autonomous systems in transforming 21st century warfare, the technology subsets required for autonomous platforms, defense and industrial readiness for robotics and cyber-physical systems, and additive manufacturing as a key enabler for future military systems.
