City Corporation (MCC) is ready to launch a civic initiative with an ecology called “Amar”, which aims to grow 30,000 tree seedlings throughout the city on Monday.
This initiative, which was jointly subjected to MCC, Dakshina Kannada District Administration and Center for Advanced Learning (CFAL) in cooperation with forest departments, departments and civic groups, proposes to plant seedlings in 60 departments.
“This is the restoration of the green cover of the city for a sustainable future, which makes the mangaluurus a greener, healthier and more habitual city,” said Commissioner Ravicandra Naik, MCC.
During this monsoon, it was proposed to plant at least 500 seedlings on each monsoon, stating that he added that the initiative would start on Monday at 10 am.
The slogan of the initiative is: “Place a tree tree, adopt a tree, prakruthiye Pragathi.”
Referring to the timeline of the event, the Commissioner stated that after the initiative started, the department would begin to support the environmental project.

Mr. Naik said that people, organizations, institutions can accept seedlings/trees by planting and maintenance.
