Mayor M. Anilkucar and the Congress of Deeptha Mary Varghes were locked in the War War at the Kochi Corporation Council Council, which took place on Tuesday.
Mrs. Varghese’s comment on the recent observation of the Kerala High Court raised a heated exchange between them. On Monday, the Devan Ramacandran praised the company for an effective solution of water to quote how the city was mostly spared inundation despite heavy rain.
The Congress councilor said that simply because there was no waterlogging near the house of Judge Ramacandran, it did not mean that it would be the case in the whole city, and expressed a surprise in the observation of the court.
At this point, Mr. Anilkucar intervened and urged Mrs. Vargheses to avoid insulting the court. Apparently it did not decrease well with Radec and accused the mayor of incorrect interpretation of her words. It insisted that the criticism was focused on the judgment and not the judge.
The mayor said there was no point in being irritated when the court had good things about corporation. He also stated that the Congress Party, which promoted the emergency situation in the country, has no right to accept comments on democracy and judges. Then Mrs. Varghese trained the mayor by criticizing the one who commented on the Board Standard.
The ruling councilors of LDF were also in their arms against Mrs. Vargheses against her alleged personal criticism of the mayor. Mr. Anilkucar later intervened to restore Decorum at the Council meeting.
