Captain Australia Pat Cummins described the upcoming Odi series against India, starting with Sunday in Perth, as strange, remarks that it could be the “last chance” for fans to witness Virt Kohli and Rohit Sharma in this country.
32 -year -old Cummins, pushed for back injuries, will be monitored from the stands. Rohit and Kohli were named in the Indian team For a series of three ODI matches against Australia, starting with Perty 19 October.
“Virat and Rohit have been part of almost every Indian party over the past 15 years, so it could be the last chance for the Australian public to see how they play here,” said Cummins Jiohotstar.
“Obviously, they were champions of games for India and are always very well supported. Whenever we play them, the crowd is aloud aloud,” he added.
The Premier Pacer admitted his disappointment in Missing The Series, which will also present games in Adelaide and Sydney, followed by the five T20 international series from October 29.
“It is a pity to miss a series of white balls against India. I think the crowds will be huge. There is a lot of excitement in Australia,” he said.
“So, whenever you miss the game, it’s disappointing. But the missing big series like this is always a little harder to take,” he added.
Cummins also offered its view of the approach that Australia should follow under the captain of Mitchell Marsh.
“These are three matches you want to win, but it is also about exposing younger boys who are going through, especially those who were not part of the last world championship.
“The goal is to try to play, see what they can do, and make sure that as soon as we approach the World Championship, we know what our 15 -member team will be and that we are well placed,” he said.
To retire Pacer Mitchell Starc from the international cricket T20, which focused on his testing career, Cummins said he understands the thought process for the decision.
“I knew it was on Starkey’s mind for a while, leaving T20is. Playing all three formats is difficult. He is a few years older than me and also played 100 test matches, a little more than I had,” he said.
“He wants to prefer a test cricket. He had a fantastic career of the T20i and there are many other people who, even if they don’t have to do exactly what Starkey do, can enter and fill shoes,” he added.
