
Red Bull’s Max Verstappen saw pressure from both McLarens to win his fourth straight Japanese Grand Prix. Verstappen on Sunday 6th April performed an incredible ride to become the first man to win the Japanese GP four times in a row.
Lando Norris finished second and saw his lead over Verstappen in the driver’s championship, decreased to one point, while his teammate from McLaren Oscar Piastri culminated in the third place in his 24th birthday. The new Verstappen partner in Red Bull – Yuki Tsunoda finished 12th in the race, 5 positions ahead of Liam Lawson, who was an ax from the team seat before this race.
In the last moments of the race, Verstappen saw pressure from both McLarens behind him, who won the Dutch for his superior car. Max, however, ensured the victory by completing 1.423 seconds before Norris, who was expected to end up today.
The Red Bull victory was established by the unprecedented pole Verstappen earlier on Saturday. He defeated his close friend Lando Norris only 0.012 seconds in what was described as an almost perfect bike in Suzuce. Max came out in the last round on Saturday in the last round of the qualifying session and disintegrated before the final bullying in Suzuce. Late breaking saw him over time a round that helped him start from the pole.
Behind Verstappen, Lando and Piastri it was just Mercedes who were able to end together. George Russell and Kimi Antonelli finished 5-6, behind Ferri Charles Lecler.
Lewis Hamilton finished 7th in the race, 29 seconds behind the winner Verstappen. Rookie Isack Hadjar (Racing Bulls), Williams’alex Albon and Haas’ Ollie Bearman ended 8.9 and 10.
