
Former Australian cricket Matthew Hayden revealed how India can win the upcoming test series in England. India and England are about to lock the corners in a series of five matches from June 20, which will also mark the start of the World Test Championship (WTC) 2025-27.
In front of the versatile series, India was exhausted after retirement of their older batches Virt Kohli and Rohit Sharma. Therefore, many support Asian giants to appear victorious in the upcoming series. However, Matthew Hayden feels that India can prove that scientists are wrong if they win tests in demanding Leeds and Manchester conditions.
He also mentioned how an English bowling attack, which is injured by injuries, can help an Indian cause.
“I do not think that England pitchmakers are so good, have a number of injuries and a number of pensioners, it will be a challenge. The northern test coincides when it turns on that is crucial, to win this one, and it could be a series of India’s journey,” Hayden said at ‘Jiohotstar’.
