AMALAPURAM
Dr. BR Ambedkar Konaseema District Collector R. Mahesh Kumar directed officials and stakeholders to prepare a master plan for the ₹ 1,650 crore Godavari Water Grid project by early December, including expected damage to existing facilities – drainage and irrigation.
The project will draw water from the Godavari River from the Sir Arthur Cotton Barrage at Dowleswaram and supply water to the Konaseema region through a pipe network under the Jal Jeevan Mission.
The project is being jointly implemented by the Rural Supply Department, Panchayat Raj and Water Resources.
