On Wednesday evening, a woman in Hirisave in Channaayapatna Taluk from Hassan was murdered. Rekha, 38 years, the mother of two children, was reportedly murdered by her husband Raghu, 40.
Rekha married Ragho about 18 years ago. According to her brother, who filed a complaint against the police Hirisave, he was ragho dependent on alcohol and allegedly bothering his wife repeatedly.
On Wednesday evening he reportedly raised the argument with his wife and hit her with a knife and fled from the place. Her children were in the evening when the incident occurred. She was taken to the hospital where the doctors declared her dead.
Police Hirisave registered this case on the basis of a statement by Rekh brother Yadumumara.
