The three -day mango and Jackfruit Mel started on Friday in Kuppanna Park in Mysuro and attracted fruit enthusiasts and locals who tasted various seasonal products eagerly. The event organized by the Ministry of Horticulture contains 48 stalls, where farmers sold naturally ripening mango and jackfruits directly to consumers.
Mel will remain open from 9:00 to 21:00 a day to Sunday and offer visitors the opportunity to buy fresh fruit without chemicals directly from growers.
K. Harish Gowda, MLA, an inauguming event, emphasized the goal of the initiative to promote black farm products, while supporting local fruit growers. “This system provides farmers a platform to sell their products directly, and ensure quality for consumers and fair revenues for growers,” he said.
The joint director of the gardening HM Nagaraj, Deputy Manjunath Angadi and other officials and other officials were present.
There is a wide range of mango varieties, including Badami, Raspuri, Mallika, Saindhura, Malgoa and Kesar. Prices are set in accordance with the prevailing rates in Hopcoms stores.
Officials expect great participation at the weekend because it continues to attract lovers of mango and jackfruits from all over the city.
