
The Minister of Agriculture N. Cheluvarayaswamy ordered officials in Mandy to give priority to supplement the lakes in the tail area of the Cauverry command, because the Kishnaraja Sagar (KRS) tank (KRS) was full.

The Minister ruled out the lack of fertilizers in the district, but expressed concerns that an artificial deficiency could be created. He ordered officials to ensure that fertilizers display available shares, and called for any unlawful fertilizer supply.
The Minister noted that the loss of crops tends to be severe because of the whims of nature, and ordered officials of agriculture to create more awareness of the benefits of crop insurance among farmers. Farmers are obliged to pay only 2% of the bonus and will be very beneficial during dry or heavy rains, he added.
Officials presented a presentation on the availability of water in various lakes and it was emphasized that there were 968 watercourses in the Mandya district, 302 of which were full to the brim due to abundant rains.
There were 164 lakes that had more than 75% water collection, while 125 lakes had 50% to 75% storage. There were 184 lakes with a storage between 25%and 50%, while 192 lakes had a storage below 25%. At that time, the Minister hit it and ordered that it should be assigned to replenish the lakes because KRS was full.
As far as agriculture is concerned, the Minister was informed that 44,596 hectares of land was filed under a sowing against the target of 1.92 103 hectares. Sugar cane, paddy, ragi, pounds of oil, corn, Alasande or cow peas, sesame, black gram, etc., were farmers took over.
Given the water supply scheme with more American waters, officials said that the Jaladhare system covering 794 dwellings in KR PET, Nagamangala and Pandavapura was carried out at the price of 943 crore and 60% of the works were completed. The project is expected to be fully entered by January 2026.
The second system, which includes 396 dwellings in Madur and Mandya Taluks, was realized at the price of 372.92 Crore and the land and material award of public procurement took place for him. The third system, which includes 168 dwellings in Maduro and Mandya, will cost 230.18 GBP Crore and the land was taken for it. The Jaladhare scheme, covering housing in Malavalli and Srirangapatan, was also in the land acquisition phase and financial offers were invited. The drinking water project within the Jaladhare system will apply to 1,593 dwellings and costs 1,836.64 crore, officials stated in their presentation.
