With heat rising and water scarcity looming, the Mandya district administration has taken steps to implement a summer action plan to secure drinking water supply and support farmers.
Deputy Commissioner Kumar, who chaired a review meeting in Mandya on Tuesday, directed officials to ensure uninterrupted supply of drinking water in both rural and urban areas. He also ordered seven hours of continuous quality water supply to agricultural pumping sets to protect standing summer crops.
