The Department of Contributions (DOP) and the unique identification office of India (Uidai) will soon start the mandatory biometric update of Aadhaar at all secondary universities in Telangana.
Officials from DOP and UIDAI met with the Council of the Minister of Joint Education Krishn Aditya on Tuesday (July 15, 2025) and confirmed that they would perform special camps to complete this exercise.
According to DOP, the obligatory biometric update (MBU) ofaadhaar is a critical requirement for students to ensure accuracy in their biometric data in the age group of 15-17 years. This is done free of charge.
As Aadhaar is a mandatory document for the application for the main entry examination at the national level, the update prevents the problems related to verification and ensures trouble -free digital verification during application and admission processes.
DOP also stated that TELANGANA CIRCLE through its network of trained AADHAAR operators and available AADHAAR sets is fully prepared to make these entries and camps to update gradually in coordination with the relevant universities. Field units are mobilized to ensure maximum coverage before starting time axes on the national level test.
