Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur can all be ready to play the UEFA Europa League final in Bilbau 21, but their Premier League continued because both teams lost 2-0 on West Ham United and Crystal Palace. Tomáš Soucek and Jarrod Bowen were at the Hammers’ goal because since 2007 they secured their first victory in Old Trafford, while Ebechi Eze’s Double gave the palace all three points.
The defeats left United and Spurs in 16 and 17. United, who said he was focusing on the European League finals, consisted of Casemiro and Andre Onana for the game and found himself in the 26th minute. The part was at the end to complete the beautiful pass from Mohammed Kudus.
Premier League: Complete coverage
In the second half, some careless work on Wednesday proved to be United. Manuel Ugarte, who lost the ball in the middle, couldn’t watch back when the United defense found itself at Backfoot when Kudus was charged. His diverted shot got into Aaron Wan-Bissak, whose pass was ideal for Bowen to go home.
United had 20 shots in the game, most of which came in the last 20 minutes. But they lacked the finishing touch and now have 39 points out of 36 league matches.
Tottenham’s deposited run continues
Tottenham suffered another defeat because they won only one of their last 10 matches. The palace had them early on the ropes and broke the stalemate just before the half, when Eze completed a simple tap thanks to the passage from Daniel Munoze.
Eze then made 2-0, three minutes after the interval and got Spurs into action, but eventually failed to combine any meaningful attacks. This meant that Spurs had 38 points out of 36 matches. United and Spurs will play on Friday, May 16 against Chelsea and Aston Villa.
