
The anti -corruption office (ACB) arrested a subordinate police inspector from the Mancherial district for spending 1.5 lakh from £ 1.5 lakh in the case of blackmail.
The accused officer was identified as Nelki Sugunakar (38) published on the Police Station NASPOOR COAL Chemical Complex (CCC).
He also demanded and accepted a bribe of 30,000 GBP from the complainant.
According to ACB Sub-Intector, he reportedly registered the case against certain individuals who unlawfully collected and limited the complainants.
During the investigation, the accused officer allegedly confiscated 2 lakh, claimed that he was blackmail from the complainant, from the arrested individuals.
Instead of returning the renewed amount, however, the officer demanded and accepted a bribe of 30,000 GBP through a telephone reward through his collaborator identified as D. Deepak to ensure that the complainant’s name was not included in the company. The officer reportedly threatened the complainant in this case unless the demand was met.
Subsequently, when the complainant secured a court order to load £ 2 Lakh, the officer allegedly admitted that he used 1.5 lakh for personal expenses and offered only 50,000 GBP. In another fraud, he took a photo pretending to pass the entire £ 2 lakh, and then left without giving the remaining amount.
After his arrest, the official was created before a special court for Spe & ACB cases in Karimnagar.
The case remains the subject of the investigation and the identity of the complainant has been maintained for safety reasons.
