Manchester United will once again head to the United States for their pre-season preparations in 2025, marking their third consecutive summer tour in the country. The Red Devils will participate in the Premier League Summer Series, which will take place across July and August, aiming to bring Premier League action to American audiences by hosting matches between English top-flight clubs on U.S. soil.
Unlike previous pre-season tours, where United faced European giants like Real Madrid and Barcelona, this year’s schedule will feature more routine fixtures against fellow Premier League sides. The team is set to take on West Ham United on July 26 in New Jersey, Bournemouth on July 30 in Chicago, and Everton on August 3 in Atlanta, with all matches being held in iconic NFL stadiums.
Jason Wilcox, Manchester United’s technical director, expressed the club’s excitement about the tour: “The weeks leading up to a new Premier League season are always thrilling for players and fans alike. We look forward to spending that time in the U.S., utilizing world-class facilities and stadiums, and connecting with our supporters. These matches against Premier League teams offer valuable preparation for our players and a chance for fans to experience the action live at some of North America’s most legendary venues.”
The 2025/26 Premier League season is slated to kick off on August 16, with United’s U.S. tour serving as a key part of their pre-season build-up. This initiative highlights the ongoing efforts by major European leagues to tap into the vast North American market. Serie A has also expressed interest in hosting a competitive league fixture in the U.S., while La Liga previously attempted to stage a clash between Barcelona and Atletico Madrid in Miami before the plans were postponed at short notice.
