A 39-year-old woman was allegedly murdered by her husband after a heated argument over her employment at a massage parlor in north Bengaluru.
The deceased has been identified as Ayesha Siddiqui (39) while the accused has been identified as Syed Zabi. After allegedly killing his wife by slitting her throat with a knife, the accused walked into the Sampigehalli police station and surrendered.
According to police sources, the incident took place in Agrahara Layout, which comes under the jurisdiction of Sampigehalli police station. Ayesha Siddiqui worked in a massage parlour, an issue that became a frequent cause of disagreement between the couple. The accused allegedly pressured her to resign, leading to repeated arguments.
Police said the couple had another confrontation over the same matter on Tuesday (December 23, 2025) night, which escalated into a violent argument. In a fit of rage, Syed Jabi allegedly attacked his wife with a knife and fatally slit her throat.
A case of murder has been registered at Sampigehalli police station and further investigation is underway to find out the other possible motive behind the murder.
